T Rex - Born to Boogie
This is a short film directed by Ringo Starr to celebrate the success of T-Rex at their Wembley Empire Pool concert. I'm quite the T Rex fan so I love this! It's centered around the live performances with an acoustic set filmed at John Lennon's mansion and amusing backstage footage of Bolan.. also some very surreal scenes of nuns and dwarves! Bolan's son presents some extra trailers, outtakes, studio sessions, interviews, etc. It feels kind of special because it's all unseen stuff and it makes you sentimental about his life and career having been cut short. I also love the Beatles short films and the whole Monty Python style they have to them:
